Tyler Perry is already in the Christmas spirit.

The actor and filmmaker gave back in a big way, dropping over $400,000 to pay off items registered at two Walmart layaways. "I was trying to do this anonymously, but due to some circumstances — y'all know how nothing stays secret these days, so I just want to go ahead and tell you," he said in a video shared to his Twitter, before revealing the addresses of the two Georgia Walmart locations where he covered the costs of the outstanding layaway items registered at each location. "If you have a layaway at either place, and it was in there as of 9:30 this morning [Wednesday, December 6] — it was already in layaway before 9:30 this morning — I have paid for all of your layaways for Christmas. So, Merry Christmas to everybody!"

He then revealed that all customers have to do to pick up their items is pay a penny at pickup. "I know it's hard times — a lot of people are struggling and I'm just really really grateful to be in a position to be able do this. So, God Bless. Go get your stuff. Merry Christmas!" he concluded.

According to TMZ, Tyler dropped $178,000 at one Atlanta store and $256,000 at a nearby store in Douglasville. (Talk about a generous random act of kindness!)

This is just one of the many ways Mr. Perry has given back this year. In September, the 48-year-old filmmaker took to Twitter to show his support for Geoffrey Owens (the former Cosby Show alum who was shamed for working at Trader Joe's), by not only tweeting words of encouragement to the 57-year-old actor but by offering him a job on his show!

“#GeoffreyOwens I’m about to start shootings OWN’s number one drama next week!” Tyler wrote, seemingly referring to his OWN show The Haves and the Have Nots. “Come join us!!! I have so much respect for people who hustle between gigs. The measure of a true artist.”
