Bella Thorne couldn't contain her emotions after learning about her ex Tana Mongeau's engagement.
On Monday, Mongeau shared the news via social media that her boyfriend, fellow YouTube star Jake Paul, had popped the question to her on her 21st birthday (June 24). "JAKE JUST PROPOSED," she tweeted, adding, "iâm....... engaged.................."
Hours after the internet famous couple announced their engagement, Thorne, who previously dated the 21-year-old bride-to-be, took to her Finsta account â an alternative Instagram account made for "more honest" content â with a set of tearful selfies responding to her ex becoming engaged. âWhen ur ex gets engaged,â the actress wrote in the emotional, emoji-filled caption, which eventually made its way to Mongeau, who simply replied, "omg."
After releasing the teary-eyed, Thorne took to Twitter to shade Paul, tweeting, "Jake needs to sign a prenup." It was just hours before the star shared a nostalgic photo of her and her ex locking lips on a yacht to wish her a happy birthday. âThrough thick and thin đđ€§ I love you Tana happy bday you beautiful beautiful special girl,â Thorne captioned the heartfelt post.
The exes held a one-year relationship before calling it quits this February. âTana and I arenât together anymore, pls stop asking. We love U guys,â the Famous in Love star said of the amicable breakup at the time. âI love her forever donât get that twisted. she changed my life forever. donât rly wanna talk on it," Mongeau added of the split, assuring fans, âThereâs no negativity at all."
In case you had any doubt, these women still have a lot of love for each other.
Last week, Mongeau was among the chorus of her ex's followers to slam Whoopi Goldberg for criticizing Thorne's recent nude photo leak scandal. In short, the YouTuber said, "F**k Whoopi Golberg."
