Teacher Made Eight-Year-Old Urinate In Trash Can In Front Of Class: Suit

The parents of an eight-year-old boy have filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles Unified School District after their son was allegedly forced to urinate in a trash can in front of his fellow classmates. The incident happened last year and left a lasting effect on the young boy.

The lawsuit says the boy asked the teacher if he could use the bathroom but was told he could not. When he asked to go a second time, his teacher told him to urinate in the trashcan in front of the classroom. The boy did as instructed and ended up peeing over himself in the process.

When the school day was over, the boy went to an after-school program, where another teacher embarrassed him further by making him wear large black trash bags over his clothes.

“He went to another teacher to try to receive help and she proceeded to place a garbage bag on him to make an example out of him of what you should not do at school, instead of calling us and saying ‘can you please bring him a change of clothes,’” said the boy’s mother Sonia Mongol during a press conference.

The boy has since been transferred to another school, but is still traumatized by the experience.

"He doesn't understand why when he went to adults for help, they would do this to him, so it's had a lasting effect on him," Mongol said.

The school district reported the incident to the police and launched an administrative review.

"While we cannot comment on pending litigation, the Los Angeles Unified School District remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students," the district said in a statement.
