Selena Gomez Asks Fans To Help Her New Album 'Rare' Go No. 1

Selena Gomez's new album, Rare, has been praised by the critics, but the collection is neck and neck for the top spot on Billboard's 200 Albums Chart and she wants your help.

As the tracking week for sales comes to a close, Gomez, 27, took to social media to share a video of herself asking fans for their help." "I just found out that my album is neck-to-neck with another incredible artist," she told followers, in reference to Roddy Ricch's Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial. "I told people before that, you know, it's not about numbers for me, but I would love for the most important album I've ever released to become No. 1. So, if you don't mind streaming it or listening to it on all the platforms, it would mean the absolute world to me. This is, again, something I've dreamed about for so long. But, regardless, I just hope that you guys are enjoying it and that it's something that you all can just enjoy and have. So, no worries. Either way, I'm happy."

According to Hits Daily Double, the pop titan's new set is leading the race with 105 to 120,000 units, while Richie's debut is trailing closely behind with an estimated 95,000 to 105,000 units this week.

Earlier in the week, Gomez showed just how much the LP meant to her by unveiling a new tattoo on her neck, which boasts the title of the project. Click here to see her new ink!
