Gina Ferraro Reads to Primrose Preschoolers for Read Across America

Today is National Read Across America Day 2018!! So, Gina went to Primrose School in Beavercreek to read to three and four year old preschoolers.

Also, today is Dr. Seuss's birthday!! He would have been 114 years old today.

Gina chose the book.... "Green Eggs and Ham" to read to the preschool's and they chimed in throughout the entire book. I told the kids that I'm a Radio Personality and an Actress. One of the kids then asked me if I know "Elsa from Frozen!!??" It was the most adorable thing ever. I had to sadly tell her, no I don't.

At Primrose school's they refer to all the students as "Friends". They also asked the kids to, "please put on their listening ears" to listen when their guest reader started reading....For the most part the kids were very intently listening to what I was reading.

The first thing the kids asked me when I stepped into their classroom was, "Hi, what's your name?!!" Or... "Why are you here?!" They were so inquisitive about why I was in their classroom... it was simply adorable. I wore a feather earring and the kids also wanted to ask about it.

When it was time for me to leave I got hugs around my legs  by 5 or 6 of the kids.... while some didn't realize I was even leaving. It's so fun to see all the different personalities when being around large groups of kids. They are all their own little people, and it's so fun to get to know them. Every year Primrose invites me back to read for the "National Read Across America Day" and I love doing it!! Mainly, because I hope to brighten one child's day while I'm there.
