Folks at a beach in Ireland were in for a surprise when two big Basking Sharks came within feet of them.
Basking Sharks are the second largest living fish, behind the Whale Shark and typically grows up to 26 feet. Despite their large size and threatening appearance, basking sharks are not aggressive and are harmless to humans.
Unlike great whites, basking sharks have relatively small teeth which are mostly useless.
They do not bite their prey, so are extremely unlikely to attack a human.
