Gwyneth Paltrow's 'Vagina'-Scented Candle Explodes In Woman's Home

Evidently, Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina-scented candles are too hot to handle.

A woman in the UK claims her home nearly burned down in flames after igniting one of Paltrow’s “This Smells Like My Vagina” in her living room. “The candle exploded and emitted huge flames, with bits flying everywhere,” Jody Thompson, 50, told The Sun of the candle, which Thompson said she won after taking a quiz.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Thompson said of the incident. “The whole thing was ablaze and it was too hot to touch. There was an inferno in the room.”

The blaze became so overwhelming that Thompson and her partner, David Snow, had to fling the flaming object out of the front door.

“It could have burned the place down. It was scary at the time, but funny looking back that Gwyneth’s vagina candle exploded in my living room,” she recalled.

For curious minds, the x-rated-scented, $75 candle is a best-seller on Paltrow’s Goop website, which sells aromatics in quippy fragrances like “This Smells Like My Orgasm” and “This Smells Like My Prenup.”

The actress’ “vagina” scented fragrance sold out within hours of its January 2020 debut. Per the site, the candle is described as having a “funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent” with notes of “geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed.”

A Goop spokeswoman Noora Raj Brown told The Post the flaming candle in question was not purchased through Goop's site, so “we aren’t able to verify its authenticity.”

Brown added, “As a precaution, we’ve alerted the manufacturer to the woman’s issue and have also reached out to her to send her some goop products to help pass the days in quarantine."
